Ashraful received master’s degree from Ghent University, Belgium in 2013. There he worked on “Impacts of water quality improvements on phytoplankton dynamics in Scheldt estuary”. With his ongoing interest on algae, he moved to Algal Ecophysiology Lab of Monash University in early 2014. His research focused on impacts of climate change (elevated temperature, CO2 and UVB) on growth and physiology of toxin producing cyanobacteria (Microcystis aeruginosa and Anabaena circinalis).
